Tigers will keep eye on Droogsma teammate this fall

by TigerNet Staff - 11 months ago

Player Photo Gulf Breeze (FL) offensive lineman Alex Pagonis camped at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp last week, along with high school teammate and buddy Austin Droogsma .

Pagonis, a 2013 prospect, didn’t come away with an offer, but did say that the Clemson coaches told him they would be watching this fall.

“I thought camp was really good,” Pagonis said. “I talked to coach [Robbie] Caldwell afterwards, and he said I impressed him.”

Pagonis said he played injured last season – he tore cartilage in his shoulder – and only recently had surgery.

“I am pretty sure once they see me play I will start getting some offers,” he said. “I just played through the pain last year, but it feels really good right now. I actually weighed 390 pounds last year, but now I am down to 316 and working out every day. I am going to lean out, and I have a feeling schools will start offering in the fall.” Pagonis's Recruiting Profile Go To Recruiting Board
