Kearse decommits from Miami after Clemson visit

by TigerNet Staff - 1 year ago

Player Photo South Fort MYERS (FL) head coach Grant Redhead confirmed to TigerNet Friday evening that 4-star safety prospect Jayron Kearse has de-committed from Miami. Kearse was at Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's high school football camp this week, and after he returned home to South Florida, he notified Miami that he wanted to look around.

In an interview with a Miami site, Kearse said he has no leaders and just wants to explore his options.

Kearse is the nephew of former Florida Gator and former NFL defensive end Javon "The Freak" Kearse.

Jayron looked extremely athletic at the camp and was very impressive during most of the drills.

As a junior, he had 1,600 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns. Kearse's Recruiting Profile Go To Recruiting Board
