I wonder how many of the offers that are listed for 2 and 3 star recruits are made up.
I am skeptical that the 295 pound 5.25 second 40 kid from Michigan who Clemson has not offered really has offers from a Oregon and Missouri in addition to believable offers from North, South, East, Western and Central Michigan plus Bowling Green.
Since coaches are prohibited from commenting on specific recruits, then there can be no confirmation or denial from the school, at least until after recruiting season.
Would it behoove Clemson coaches to correct the record after each recruiting season? Kids falsely claiming an offer or even falsely claiming heavy interest are hurting the brand.
